Engage your infant to develop their senses, muscles, and imagination!

1. Crinkle Paper - use tissue paper to allow exposure to texture and sound (if you have a "mouther" - who puts everything in his/her mouth - be sure to keep an eye on them) scrapes work great for this! Wash out old chip bags or the disposable diaper wipes packs and let them touch and make loads of sound.

Bassett Mirror Company M2464 Merlot Rectangular Leaner Mirror 3. Babies LOVE to look a themselves in the mirror. Practice making faces and showing how to make happy, sad, surprise, worried faces.
Help teach your baby that he is looking at himself in the mirror. Use your lipstick or a simple sticker to help you. Place a dot on your child's nose as you are looking in the mirror with him. If he reaches out and touch the mirror, he thinks it's another baby. However, if he touches his own nose, he realizes that it is a reflection.

4. Fabric Boxes - use left over fabric or scraps from old clothes to help teach textures. Stuff all the pieces in a box, tub, small bucket, Tupperware piece, etc. and allow your baby to practice reaching in and taking a piece out. Allow them to explore.
